Today marks the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, the pivotal World War II event on June 6, 1944, when 156,000 Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, France, in a massive military operation known as Operation Overlord. This marked the beginning of the end for Nazi Germany. We honor the bravery and sacrifices of those involved through commemorative events and memorials, ensuring their legacy and the lessons of this historic day are remembered and passed on to future generations.
