Know your Tread Depths!

The legal limit for the tread depths of a car tyre is 1.6mm, within the centre ¾’s of the tyre’s tread.

BUT… An important point of note is that – Tyres begin to lose their water clearing efficiency when they become 3mm and lower. Typically, tyres will be advised on your MOT at 2/3mm of tread, highlighting that they’ll need attention soon.

We recommend you think about replacing your tyres when they get to 3mm or below, especially when poorer weather is on the horizon!
